Aldo shoes has opened five new stores in three cities across Canada called Locale. An artist from each of those cities has their art hanging in the new stores and my photographs are decorating the walls and windows of Calgary’s two locations (one at Chinook and the other at TD)! So cool! I’ve been eagerly anticipating the opening of the stores and about a week and a half ago they finally did. Locale is releasing a magazine to go along with the store, including a little profile on each of the three artists. A photographer (Colin Way) who wasn’t me came into my home and took my picture and also pictures of things around the apartment.

I wanted to wait and blog about this when I had a photograph of the store with my work in it – but this one with Montreal collective Cinqunquatre‘s image will have to do.

I added a new section (Colin) and some new photographs. I took off a few too.

Toronto photographer, Matthew Tammaro, and I have started a correspondence photo blog 1/x – I’ve been excited about it for a long time now and it’s finally up and going!

More updates about things I am working on are coming soon!

Gizmo's milky eye

This summer has started off slowly, photography-wise, but I have a few neat projects coming up in the very near future. And a trip to Fernie with Colin, Abby and Jason where Abby and I will surely take a lot of photos.

Above is a photograph of Colin on our weekend trip to Kananaskis and below that is a photograph of Gizmo, my cousin Melissa’s elderly shih tzu who has the prettiest weirdest thing going on with her old eye right now. And check out that tooth!

Chelsee Ivan's IPhone Site

Along with making me a great new website, my wonderful BF Colin made me a really cool iPhone optimized version. Go visit chelseeivan.com on your iPhones and iPods! My favourite detail is definitely the wood grain. Go to Colin’s blog to read a bit more in depth about it and watch a video of it in action.
